Le Marche Bed and Breakfast Guide
Tucked away in the hidden corners of Le Marche you will find some of the most wonderful bed & breakfasts and lovely farmhouse holidays. Our aim is to discover the best of these. We will never feature more than five or six places, they need to be really special to make it onto our shortlist. Let us begin our trip …
Villa Sibillini Country House/B & B
A very special place indeed. Featured on Channel 4 in the UK this country farmhouse has been lovingly restored into a marvelous bed and breakfast. It won't remain a secret for much longer. Only a little over an hour from Ancona near the medieval hilltop town of San Ginesio.

Le Fontane Farmhouse - near Urbino
A lovely rural retreat in perhaps the most beautiful countryside to be found anywhere in Le Marche Italy. The Le Fontane farmhouse offers superb farm stay holidays on a delightful and 100% authentic working farm. Accommodation options for all size groups are available.

Camera Con Vista - near Ancona
Giacinta and Francesco are the owners of this utterly charming Marche country house only 30 minutes from Ancona but a world away from the city. It was supposed to be their eventual retirement home but thankfully they decided to share it with the rest of us and they have converted a wing of the farmhouse into a great bed and breakfast. Villa Castellani Amalia recommended the Villa Castellani in Macerata. I have to say I fully agree with her. After reading her comments I made a point of visiting while in the area and this is truly a gem. Fantastic food, a friendly atmosphere and a wonderful setting were all words that Amalia used in her mail to me and I agree with her 100%. The only thing wrong (for the owners) is that they are charging way to little.
Hotel Central di San Ginesio Maya recommends the Hotel Centrale di San Ginesio: "It's run by a guy called Gianni. I have just finished renovating a house in San Ginesio and am going to be living there this summer. During the renovation I stayed at the Centrale. It is very basic but comfortable and welcoming. I would ask for a room overlooking the square - you might get woken early by people starting their day but I love the view. Alternatively the rooms at the back overlook the Sybelline Mountains."
If you have stayed at the places featured please let me hear from you below. All negative reports will be investigated and, if justified, the offending place will be removed. Personally though I think you will have a wonderful time, these are all special places run by special people.
