A very special place indeed, set in perhaps the most beautiful countryside to be found anywhere in the region. Featured on Channel 4 in the UK this country farmhouse has been lovingly restored into a marvelous bed and breakfast. It won't remain a secret for much longer. Giacinta and Francesco are the owners of this utterly charming Marche country house, only 30 minutes from Ancona but a world away from the city. It was supposed to be their eventual retirement home but thankfully they decided to share it with the rest of us and they have converted a wing of the farmhouse into a great bed and breakfast. I have just finished renovating a house in San Ginesio and am going to be living there this summer. During the renovation I stayed at the Centrale. It is very basic but comfortable and welcoming. I would ask for a room overlooking the square - you might get woken early by people starting their day but I love the view. Alternatively the rooms at the back overlook the Sybelline Mountains."
