The Heritage Guide Marches- Italian Touring Club

The Italian Touring Club guides are always good value and this one is no exception. It is packed full of detailed information on the Le Marche region. The part I like most about this book are the tour itineraries for the independent traveler. They have a dozen or so excellent driving and walking tours that will allow you to really discover this region.

The Blue Guides are invariably comprehensive though sometimes I find them a little heavy going. This is one of the best though, especially recommended for those who would like to explore the fascinating art and history of the Marches in detail. Although the history of Le Marche is not widely known it is actually amazing just what an important part Le Marche has played in Italian history and how many major artists are from here.
