Five Star Hotel in Venice
The San Clemente Palace
Godfrey and I wanted somewhere extra special. Being in our sixties we are no longer into roughing it and prefer pampered luxury. The San Clemente Palace was just the ticket - a splendid five star hotel in Venice. The luxury and pampering was just like the old days. It was very romantic too - even if we aren't that young anymore. It would be just perfect for a young couple on honeymoon!! The staff could not have been more helpful - really going out of their way to help us. Godfrey is not much of a walker now and the boats into town were wonderful. I really felt that I had become part of a Canaletto painting - the setting is just magical. Top marks to the Hotel and all the staff for making us feel so special again!!
