Where to stay when visiting the Cinque Terre - winter or summer

Our family has returned from our long planned vacation to the Cinque Terre and the Italian Riviera.

You know what we did? We took your advice even though we don't know you or anything we felt pretty much like we did after reading your newsletter. You and Maria are so much friends of ours now :-)

You are even better friends after your advice turned out to be fantastic. We stayed in Levanto at the Oasi Hotel. If anybody else reads this and needs somewhere to stay when visiting the Cinque Terre then this is a great option.

I've got to add on this, the Cinque Terre isn't about beaches (however Levanto has a good beach) so don't worry if you visit winter or summer, these little hamlets are great whenever - with a bit of sunshine they look even better and that sunshine can be winter sunshine too.

Andrew's reply: I am so pleased that our advice worked out well for you. I agree too that even in the winter the Cinque Terre can be amazing and you don't have all the crowds of July and August.
