Tomato Bruschetta Recipe

Tomato bruschetta is really one of the most delicious savoury snacks that exists and it really is so very easy to make. Enjoy it as an aperetif, as a light lunch or simply as a healthy anytime snack.

Ingredients

1 loaf of Italian bread, ciabatta bread is a good choice if it is available where you live. The bread should be halved lengthwise and then cut crosswise diagonally, into slices

1 Garlic clove; minced

2 Tablespoons of Olive oil

2 Large Tomatoes; peeled, seeded, and chopped, I always stand them in the sun for a little while before peeling them which helps to bring out the flavor.

1/4 of a teaspoon of salt

1/4 of a teaspoon of pepper

1/2 Cup of fresh chopped basil

Instructions

1)Toast the bread under the broiler until lightly browned. Combine the garlic and olive oil and brush over one side of the bread.

2) Spread the tomatoes evenly over the bread. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper to taste. Broil for about 30 seconds only to heat the tomatoes. Sprinkle with the fresh basil and serve.

That is all there is to the recipe. All that is left is to enjoy!
