Country House Marche Italy

Only 40 kms from Ancona Airport yet a world away from modern city life, Giacinta and Francesco are the owners of this utterly charming bed and breakfast(details here). After having put up with the rat-race that is Milan for nearly twenty years they finally found their little corner of paradise. It was supposed to be their eventual retirement home but thankfully they decided to share it with the rest of us and they have converted a wing of the farmhouse into a bed and breakfast.

The picture on the homepage of their site (see it here) really tells a thousand words, this is a place that opens a window onto another world, in fact the name Camera con Vista means room with a view.

If you have been a visitor before to my site you will know that I positively love well restored old country houses and farmhouses and Giacinta and Francesco have restored this one perfectly.

Camera con Vista is ideal if you would like to be fairly near the coast but still get an authentic feel of country living in Le Marche. Being less than half an hour’s drive from Ancona makes it very convenient if you are flying into Ancona’s Airport. There are a wealth of things to do in the vicinity, from delightful country towns through to beautiful beaches and coastline, really something for all tastes.

Francesco and Giacinta will be more than happy to help with restaurant recommendations and with itineraries to assist you in exploring this area either by foot, bicycle or car. Francesco speaks excellent English and the places he suggests are places you would never otherwise find. His love of the local countryside, food and people is infectious and his passion for this region is clearly evident.

Accommodation consists of three spacious double rooms each with their own ensuite bathrooms and private entrance. Rates too are very good news, with out of season rates starting at only 60 Euros a room.
